Cabernet Sauvignon expresses itself fully when its roots grow in warm, well-drained soil. That's why we have selected our small plots of gravelly soil on our sunny hillsides. This grape variety also needs the full winemaker’s attention during vinification. Cabernet grape juice is naturally rich in tannins and therefore very oxygen-hungry: we vinify it in our concrete vats, followed by ageing in oak barrels. The micro-oxygenation of the concrete and the discreet porosity of the barrels allow this grape variety to develop its full potential. The blend of Merlot gives this cuvée fatness and smoothness. The wood from the barrels, with its ever-melting tannins, adds aromas of vanilla, spices and roasted coffee. The perfect occasion to enjoy this Cuvée Réserve is with friends or family. Its cedar aromas also make it an ideal accompaniment to dishes with mushroom sauce.
